This holiday season, please remember that while the price of turkey and vanilla for your holiday meals, and gas for the drive to loved ones is frustratingly high, your donation dollars mean every bit as much as ever to the children and adults The Shield Institute serve!

While supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, The Shield Institute’s top priority is protecting the health and safety of our communities. Many New Yorkers continue to struggle to maintain stability while striving to achieve their dreams. We employ an agency-wide approach, above and beyond our core services, to ensure families in our network who are experiencing stressors, such as job loss or food insecurity, receive the resources they need.

We are all feeling the pinch, and while you may be saving up for Black Friday sales, remember to set aside what you can for The Shield on Giving Tuesday.
