🎓 Monday marked the final session for our Administrator Support Program Early-Career Cohort from 2024-26! From breakfast to our celebratory toast, the energy among the group of 31 participants was incredible.

Our school leaders spent the day exploring:
đź“– Storytelling to motivate, teach, and build connections
🤝Facilitating meetings that create buy-in, accountability, and establish leadership
🔍Assessing our teams and leading them forward

The highlight of the day was the change project presentations, where our administrators shared a tangible impact they’ve made in their schools this year.

🥂Mazal Tov to all our participants on completing this journey over the past two years! We can't wait to see how you continue to lead with strength.

Did you know that teachers and administrators are proven to be the two most important in-school factors impacting student learning?

That’s why JNTP focuses on helping Jewish day school educators gain and maintain the skills they need so that their students can thrive.

We’ve just launched our Annual Campaign, which honors our amazing CEO Nina Bruder for 13 years of leadership. We invite you to make a gift to JNTP and partner with us in building a strong Jewish future.

Help ensure that our children have teachers and school leaders who are effective, confident, and committed to being in their schools for the long-term – so that their students become engaged, inspired, knowledgeable, and prepared for active roles in their Jewish communities and beyond.

Last week, we wrapped up our final professional development workshop of the year with administrators from SINAI Schools: A Uniquely Special Education.

Participants spent the day building their leadership skills and learning how to set meaningful goals, have hard conversations, and run effective meetings. The session was led by Administrator Support Program facilitators, Fayge Safran Novogroder and Amy Ament.

Over the past eight months, we’ve enjoyed seeing this group of dedicated administrators demonstrate their openness to growth and commitment to making SINAI schools vibrant communities of learning for both students and teachers.

We thank SINAI Schools for their partnership and appreciate their investment in nurturing their leaders.

Congratulations to JNTP Mentor alumna and former JNTP New Teacher Experience facilitator Rachel Harari, Head of School at the SAM School (Sephardic Academy of Manhattan), on the incredible growth of the school under her leadership. We are delighted that The SAM School is partnering with JNTP this year in the JNTP-Azrieli Fellowship pilot, where a select group of new teachers are receiving a certificate and graduate school credit from Yeshiva University’s Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration for the work they are doing in their schools and with JNTP.

A Sephardic Jewish day school grows on the Upper East Side The Sephardic Academy of Manhattan, with 240 students this year, is the latest sign of a community's growing presence in the neighborhood.

Welcome back to school! We wish all of JNTP’s New Teachers, Mentors and Administrators and the entire Jewish day school field an inspiring and productive year of teaching, learning, and growth. We can’t wait to see all the places you’ll go!

Thank you for partnering with JNTP in 2025-26!

✨Meet ElevatEd mentor trainer Lisa Peloquin of the Jewish New Teacher Project!✨

“I actually had the very good fortune when I first started teaching more than 20 years ago to have mentoring supporting me that is very much like the JNTP model. So I know from firsthand experience how much it can really shape you as an educator, and I was really grateful for that.

“So you’ll see my quote about mentoring—that I think it’s that balance between helping someone find their own footing in the classroom. So I’m not trying to create, in my mentoring work, someone who approaches every situation the way I would, but I’m giving them the tools to help them figure out how they’re going to solve challenges in the classroom.”

The quote Lisa’s referencing? It’s from Steven Spielberg: “The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves.” ✨

We’re so grateful to JNTP and all our mentors supporting educators across ElevatEd communities.

JNTP is proud to partner with ElevatedTogether, bringing our signature mentoring program to Jewish Early Childhood Education programs in an effort to strengthen the educational experience for our youngest learners.

Lisa, thank you for bringing your talents and JNTP expertise to ElevatEd and for inspiring us to bring JOY into our classrooms!

JNTP’s 2025-26 program launch continues! This week, we kicked off a new Teacher Induction program in collaboration with the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education & Administration of Yeshiva University. This exciting new partnership combines formal training and job-embedded support for a pilot group of novice teachers - JNTP-Azrieli Fellows - helping to position them for success in their classrooms and long-term commitment to the field. Fellows will receive a certificate and nine graduate school credits (to be used toward a degree at any graduate school) at the end of the program.

JNTP-Azrieli Fellows participated in a myriad of sessions, jointly led by JNTP facilitators and Azrieli faculty. Sessions focused on topics such as creating optimal learning environments, a roadmap for lesson design, learner variability, and managing the classroom. JNTP-Azrieli Fellows hold teaching positions at Magen David Yeshivah Elementary School, The Moriah School, Ramaz Upper School, The Sam School, SAR Academy and SAR High School. They will be mentored by JNTP-trained veteran mentors.

We extend special thanks to The Shefa School for hosting our sessions this past week and providing a beautiful and inspiring backdrop to our learning.

We wish this group of young professionals hatzlacha rabbah - much success! We look forward to spending the year learning together.

It’s JNTP program launch season! The past few days, School Leaders from across the country came together for our Administrator Support Program to invest in their own growth and gear up for the academic year ahead.

Our Year 1 participants dove into their new roles supervising teachers and Year 2 participants felt more confident as they dug deeply into leading change in their roles as school leaders, all in an effort to make our schools thrive!

We extend special thanks to the The Shefa School for hosting our PDs this week - it is wonderful to be in such a beautiful, inspiring space of teaching, leading, and learning.

Last week, the JNTP Team retreated! It was great to be together, reflect on our work this past year, and excitedly look ahead to the upcoming year and beyond as we work to ensuring that Jewish day schools across the country are thriving.

THANK YOU TO…
- Heather Gowdy of DRG Consulting for facilitating our sessions on the teacher pipeline crisis and setting new organizational norms as we continue to chart our pathway forward as an independent entity. Stay tuned as things evolve!

- Keren Keshet, and their amazing staff, for providing the space and backdrop for our gathering. It is always grounding to come back to the AVI CHAI Foundation offices and the space where JNTP began.

- Ellen Moir, New Teacher Center Founder, who shared her wisdom and words of inspiration as we continue to bring our passion, expertise, and high-quality professional development to teachers and school leaders.
