The founding principle of The Writers Studio is the belief that when the desire to write is strong enough, anyone can learn the craft necessary for full creative expression. For the past 28 years The Writers Studio has encourage students "to try on voices" and explore a variety of different narrative techniques as a way of discovering their own literary voices. Students take a single 10-week workshop, or have the opportunity to continue through a series of increasingly challenging levels of classes designed to help them reach their full creative potential. Beginning in January 2016, The Writers Studio is expanding its program to serve the creative communities of Hudson Valley and The Berkshires. The Writers Studio Advisory Board:
