Why 20 minutes?
Kids who read at least 20 minutes a day are exposed to almost 2 MILLION words per year.
That's right. According to Every Child Reads, kids who read for only 5 minutes a day will hear only 282,000 words per year.
That's a BIG difference... and that's not all.
Studies show that kids who engage in reading 20 minutes a day are likely to score better than 90% of their peers on standardized tests.
So, here's your friendly reminder to make sure your child reads today!

According to the National Literacy Trust, exposing kids to e-books could increase the average reading level... by up to 8.4 months!
Their study showed that e-books improve kids’ reading comprehension - and confidence.
28% of boys thought reading was difficult at the beginning of the study. At the end? ONLY 15.9%!
Furthermore, the percentage of children involved in the study who enjoyed reading books on paper jumped from 10% to 40%...
We all love a good physical book, but eBooks could be a key to help children everywhere read, better!

Why is it important to let kids... FAIL?
🤯 WHAT? Keep reading...
Failure is inevitable. No matter how long you protect your child, failure can (and will) happen at some point.
Like most unpleasant things in life, there are lessons to be learned from failure. Here are 3️⃣ ways failure can be a positive thing in your child’s life.
1️⃣ Failure builds resilience: According to Michael Jordan, failure is a vital part of life because it builds perseverance and resilience. Having a comfortable relationship with failure will teach kids to keep trying until they succeed.
2️⃣ Failure can relieve pressure:
Kids are under more pressure than ever before. If kids do not consider failure as an option, they may become overwhelmed with anxiety.
3️⃣ Failure boosts creativity
Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times before he made the lightbulb. The ability to learn from failure and be comfortable with trial and error can help you throughout life.

What a powerful message, right?
Kobe Bryant once recalled during an interview a lesson that Elon Musk taught him. Elon said if you don’t have an imagination to take all that you learned to the next level, it means nothing.
