Local 1930
The New York Public Library Guild/Local 1930 represents staff members of the New York Public Library Since then we have continued to be an activist union.
Local 1930 represents almost 1,200 clericals, library technical assistants, information assistants, librarians, and other titles. Local 1930 was formed in 1968 as a result of the ferment caused by the civil rights, women's and anti-war movements. We believe libraries are the backbone of democracy and unions are the vehicle we use to defend our economic rights. We hope everyone who reads this will
