These end-of-year celebrations are the kind of moments that our students will never forget. 🎵
The choral students at PS 101Q wrapped up their semester with a pizza party and a special surprise: brand new ukuleles, generously gifted through D'Addario Foundation and funding from the Mitsui USA Foundation. 💙
Teaching artist Ben Shanblatt kicked things off with an introductory workshop covering simple strumming patterns and chords. What a special way to end the year!

Our first and second graders—English Language Learners and native speakers alike—came together as one chorus reflecting the rich diversity of the Queens community, led by our teaching artist . This is a quote Saul shared: “Because of programs like this, I was able to find a place of belonging as a kid—and it led me to pursue music.”

What happens when our Young Professionals Board and NEXTGen students meet? A truly inspiring conversation ✨
Our NEXTGen x YPB Career Panel took place this Monday where Jeffery King, Ellis Kim, Maria Ichizawa, and teaching artist Ester Wiesnerova shared thoughtful advice and personal experiences with our teens as they begin exploring paths of their own.

🎶 200 second graders at PS 160K came together to sing "Fengyang Flower Drum" and parents couldn't help but sing along! 🌷
When 65% of your students are Chinese, you find a song that speaks to them. And that is exactly what our teaching artists Ester Wiesnerova ( ) and Lynne Wilson did for the community at PS 160K. Check out this amazing moment where the students collaborate for the first time on a song in Chinese. ❤️
