Meet violinist and educator Dan Qiao, bringing more than 18 years of teaching experience to students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to collegiate, advanced, and adult musicians.
Dan’s teaching combines a strong technical foundation with individualized instruction, musicianship, and expressive development, helping each student grow with confidence and purpose.
As a concert violinist, Dan has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and China, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. She is also the co-founder and violinist of DuoMente, a chamber music series featuring projects such as a complete Beethoven violin sonata cycle, contemporary collaborations, and community outreach performances.
Dan has served multiple seasons as Assistant Faculty at the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Violin Workshop and previously maintained a private studio of more than 70 students annually. Her students have earned competition prizes, youth orchestra placements, conservatory admissions, scholarships, and graduate assistantships at leading music schools in the U.S. and China.
She is also a nationally certified teacher and holds the MTNA Nationally Certified Teacher of Music credential (NCTM).
