š„³ š My hotel found out is my birthday and this is what they gave me. I mean cake is nice too once in a while but I love that their first thought was fruit, natures candy! They also cut up some ornate watermelon I had to eat before getting a photo in, it was awesome!

80% of what we eat should be nutrient dense whole foods, what about the other 20%? ā¬ļø
Well, not just cake/cookies/ice cream as many in the ā80 clean 20 dirtyā world would say.
The 20 is for creating new experiences, being adventurous and learning to treat yourself without hurting yourself.
This meal here for example was part of my 20%
I tried out a new vegetarian cafe with a new friend and just said Iāll have what he has.
I donāt usually go to vegetarian cafes and I donāt know if Iāve ever just got what the person Iām with is having.
My aim here was to open up to something different and unexpected, to interrupt the day to day foods I eat.
I find that doing this really helps me to embrace my love for food instead of fighting against it.
When we do this it ends the war and opens the door to actually having a healthy relationship with food.
Itās nice to see that treating yourself doesnāt have to mean cake/cookies/ice cream on the couch.
Although that can be nice sometimes tooā¦

Make it easy or else..
It wonāt last.
Yes, pre cooked quality meats can be a bit more expensive than the frozen stuff.
But you know whatās even more expensive?
BINGE EATING!
Always be thinking of ways you can make your meals easier and more nutrient dense.
Your cravings will go away, along with brain fog and afternoon crashes.
Your skin will clear and if needed you will lose weight.
Instead of reinventing the wheel annually, letās get back to basics.
Donāt think āeat less junkā, think āeat more & more nutritious & delicious real foodsā.
And watch the desire for junk go lower and lower.
Yes, you can have treats here and there, but you deserve to be in a place where a steak with some Brie cheese and a big bowl of fruit for dessert IS A TREAT!

šPassion fruit & watermelon for the carbs, fiber, antioxidants, and hydration.
š5 Hard Boiled eggs (one of the most nutritious foods on earth).
šAvocado, those extra fats on top of the eggs will ensure this meal keeps me full for hours.
You donāt have to adopt this way of eating overnight but start incorporating more real, nutrient dense foods in your diet.
They will benefit every area of your life and allow you to simply lose interest in binge eating altogether.

Merry Christmas everyone. In 2024 I encourage you to eat more REAL FOOD.
NOā¦. Iām not saying go carnivore.
NOā¦. Iām not saying cut out treat foods.
Im saying that by simply increasing the amount of real food you eat, like magic it will reduce the amount of junk you eat.
What you eat determines what you continue to eat.
What you eat determines how much you eat.
In 2024 I want to CLEARLY show you that real food is incredibly delicious, and choosing to eat it is NOT RESTRICTIVE.
By focusing on eating MORE of these foods instead of LESS junk, you will remove the need for willpower and naturally desire real food more and more.
Please ignore the ājust eat what you wantā narrative that is so popular these days.
Junk is a part of life, itās ok on occasion. But letās not normalize it, never mind make it some kind of hero.
2024 is the year of HEALTH.
The year you FEEL and LOOK your best.
Stop letting big food rob you of your life.
Stop being distracted by influencers pushing you to just eat junk all the time.
You donāt have to eat PERFECT.
But you deserve to have the nutrients your body needs.

I have very specific and personal reasons for holding these views.
The biggest being that this is what I needed to hear when I was struggling.
I needed someone to speak some truth in what I viewed to be an echo chamber of empty platitudes.
I felt and still feel very disconnected from most of the messaging today on how to resolve binge eating.
The over simplification of a complex problem, the glossing over sticky parts with catch phrasesā¦
But hey, everyone needs something different.
Everyone has a truth to share.
I can only share mine.
