Please be advised that our offices will be closed this coming Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Presidents' Day.

My name is Rovena Hyka, I come from Albania. I live in the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City. I have been in the United States of America for ten (10) months. I am attending English as a second language (ESL) classes at the New York General Consulting School (NYGC. I am taking ESL III with my teacher Pedro Prentt. Cooking many different Albania meals is my favorite hobby.

The school is closed today, January 26th. We will see you tomorrow on Tuesday, January 27.

As we wrap up 2025, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to our amazing community of students, teachers, and staff. Your dedication, hard work, and support have made this year truly meaningful. 💙

Hi! My name is Humaun Ahmed. I was born and raised in Sylhet, Bangladesh. I moved to the USA earlier this year, and now I’m living in Queens, New York. Currently, I’m taking ESL Level 4 classes with Susanna Miller. With Susanna, I’ve also completed Public Speaking and Advanced Socializing classes. Apart from academics, I have a big passion for exploring modern technology. I enjoy learning how things work — from apps and gadgets to artificial intelligence and smart devices. If something can change lives, I want to be part of that change .Lately, I’ve started enjoying meeting and connecting with new people. It feels like a hobby because every conversation feels like opening a surprise gift — sometimes fun, sometimes confusing, but always interesting. I also love performing on stage. It takes a lot of courage, but the thrill of being in the spotlight is worth it. And of course, I enjoy sports — especially Soccer and Cricket. In the future, I plan to study Computer Science and work in tech. Who knows, maybe I’ll invent something cool. But, I believe life is about trying new things, having fun, and laughing a little along the way.
