Happy Pride Month from the entire Democracy Prep family. ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐
This month we celebrate, honor, and affirm every member of our community. At Democracy Prep we believe that every scholar, every staff member, and every family deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and seen not just in June but every single day.
Diversity makes us stronger. Belonging makes us better. ๐โจ

Yesterday, our scholars traveled to Albany to share their perspectives on Assembly Bill A6598. This bill would allow 17-year-olds to vote in primary elections if they will turn 18 by the general election, ensuring that more young people who are already eligible to vote in the general election can fully participate in the election process from the very beginning.
Our students met with legislators, shared their ideas, and shared why their voices matter in these decisions. Issues like education, public safety, college affordability, and economic opportunity directly impact young people, and they should have a voice in shaping those policies.
This is what we mean when we say we are developing the next generation of civic leaders. We could not be more proud.
