We’re excited to welcome Coach Eyad Ibrahim to the academy!

Starting this week, Coach Eyad will be teaching:

Wrestling — Thursdays at 7:30 PM
Open Mat — Sundays at 12:00 PM

Coach Eyad brings an elite level of wrestling experience to our mats. He is a 2016 Egyptian Olympic Team Member, 2026 U.S. Open National Champion, 5× African Senior Freestyle Champion, African Games Champion, and 4× Arab Champion, along with multiple international medals and World Championship appearances.

He’s also a USA Wrestling Certified Coach with experience in Freestyle, Greco-Roman wrestling, and MMA.

Expect high-level takedowns, takedown defense, competition strategy, conditioning, and technique from someone who has competed at the highest levels of the sport.

We’re very excited to have him with us.

This isn’t one of those self-defense classes where you learn a few moves that look good in a demo but fall apart the second someone actually grabs you.

This is the real thing.

For three days, Sergio Ignacio will be teaching practical self-defense built from 33 years in law enforcement, specialized tactical units, real operations, and decades of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Sergio is a 7th Degree Coral Belt and spent his career with the Rio de Janeiro State Civil Police, including work with specialized units comparable to SWAT. He also trained law enforcement officers in defensive tactics, physical control, situational awareness, and real-world confrontation.

The focus of these classes is simple: what actually works.

Escapes from grabs & controls

Thursday, October 1
Knife defense concepts

No experience is necessary. You don’t have to train Jiu-Jitsu. You just have to show up ready to learn.
