This Saturday at Renzo Gracie Academy HQ, we’re honored to welcome Grand Master Hugo Duarte, 9th Degree Red Belt and founder of USA Luta Livre, for a special No Gi seminar.

With more than 50 years of experience, Hugo Duarte is one of the most respected figures in Luta Livre Esportiva. Internationally recognized for his technical precision, innovative teaching, and deep understanding of leg locks, positional strategy, and submission systems, he has spent decades developing athletes and instructors around the world.

His seminars are known for their practical details, technical depth, and concepts that can be applied immediately on the mat.

Hello everyone,

Due to the large event taking place at Madison Square Garden and the significant security measures and street congestion expected in the surrounding area, the academy will be closed on Friday, July 3.

As previously scheduled, we will also be closed on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5 in observance of the holiday weekend.

At this time, Thursday’s schedule remains unchanged. However, because of the anticipated activity surrounding the Madison Square Garden event, there is a possibility that Thursday evening classes may be affected if security measures or street closures become more disruptive than expected.

If any changes are made to Thursday evening’s schedule, we will send a notification as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on your email and our social media for any last-minute updates.
