London native Ally discovered his love for the guitar at just four years old, starting on acoustic before embracing the electric by age seven. His early passion carried him across the Atlantic to study at the renowned Clive Davis Institute at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where he earned a degree in Recorded Music in 2021.
As a dynamic lead guitarist, Ally has captivated audiences across North America, Europe, the UK, and Ireland. His playing style is both intricate and explosive, merging technical mastery with raw energy, and cementing his reputation as a driving force in New York City’s alternative music scene.
Beyond his work as a guitarist, Ally is deeply embedded in NYC’s vibrant music culture. He frequently DJs at clubs and venues throughout the city and produces tracks for artists spanning genres from indie-rock to hip-hop and R&B. Whether in the studio, on the road, or behind the mixing board, Ally remains devoted to his lifelong passion for the guitar — a true outlet for creative expression.

Born in Brooklyn, Elias discovered his love for music at an early age, inspired by the Beatles. By the age of six, he was already playing guitar. He spent years performing in rock bands, focusing primarily on original music, before diving deeper into jazz at the Eastman School of Music.
Elias takes pride in his versatility, mastering a variety of musical styles. He teaches everything from jazz standards and funk grooves to rock riffs and lead guitar techniques, inspiring students to develop their own musical voices. In 2004, New York City Guitar School consisted of a single room in the Recording and Rehearsal Arts Building on West 30th Street in Manhattan. One door led to the offices of four other businesses. The other led to a shared bathroom. As my students and I moved our guitars aside to allow yet another person use the facilities, I did not imagine that sixteen years later New York City Guitar School would have over fifty teachers and thirty studios in five school locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, or that our community would grow to include thousands of busy New Yorkers learning to play guitar or perform in bands, and thousands of students around the world who would learn through our many books, videos, and live-online lessons and classes.
To this day we are still committed to fostering greatness through the medium of guitar lessons.
