Sea Scout Ship 272
Apprentice Sea Scout just finished plotting courses to get home and is now calculating distances. Put all on slate then when underway, will make Dead Reckoning plot.

Cruise #3. In ship 272, we make sure US ensign is struck at sunset and set at sunrise. A job always done the by lowest ranked Sea Scouts.

Late entry for Sea Scout Ship 272 Cruise #2. Sailing across from Cold Spring Harbor to Stamford. This year not catching much wind. So this is definitely gold.

Philosophy under sail: a youth leader made a mistake and he had to make it right.
It shows character to own your error as a leader.
Crew Chief: A temporary rate (Ship 272 only) that is the main go-to youth leader on overnight cruises. It is a way to prepare/practice for the Quartermaster Cruise.

Sea Scout Ship 272 doesn't have a hard ban on cellphones. But it can't distract from working the boat or talking to other scouts. Here the Skipper caught an Apprentice Sea Scout isolating and pull him out.
