NYU Tisch Photo & Imaging Future Imagemakers

The DPI Future Imagemakers program at NYU Tisch is proud to showcase the work of 12 exceptionally talented high school photographers. Throughout the spring semester, these students have created personal photographic projects that explore various themes. These include the development of identities through fashion, the endurance of culture, the realities of gaining independence, and the fleeting, beautiful moments in life.

We invite you to join us for an awards ceremony at 2:00 PM this Saturday, May 10th, to celebrate these visionary young artists and their remarkable work. There will also be an ice cream cake to enjoy!

‘Where We Are’: A Photo Essay Contest for Exploring Community For the second year in a row, we invite students to document the local, offline communities that interest them. Contest dates: Dec. 4, 2024, to Jan. 15, 2025.

Calling all aspiring teen photographers! Applications are open for our Future Imagemakers workshop! No previous photo experience is necessary — just passion. We welcome 9th, 10th, and 11th grade NYC-area students to this FREE program, which runs on Saturdays from February 1 through May 10. We provide cameras and editing software, teach you the basics of digital photography, and help you develop a personal project that reflects your unique vision and ideas. Tell all of your friends and favorite young creatives!

Applications are currently open for our free BDC Youth Photo League 2024 Summer Program! The program which runs July 1- August 2, offers a free six-week summer program tailored for middle schoolers, focusing on newspaper, zine, and photobook creation, alongside a dedicated video storytelling course designed for high school students.
