✅ Starting TODAY, NYC schools families can switch to blended learning (a mix of in-person days at school and remote-learning days at home) for the remainder of the school year. Visit nycenet.edu/surveys/learningpreference or call 311 to let us know by November 15.
Families that choose to enter blended learning will begin in-person between November 30 and December 11, and are expected to have their child attend on the start date and on the schedule provided by their school.
Students learning in-person are also expected to undergo random testing for COVID-19 throughout the year. Please submit a consent form:
🔹Online: fill out the form at www.mystudent.nyc
🔹Paper Form: download the form at schools.nyc.gov/covidtesting, or ask your school for a copy.

UPDATE: we posted additional instructional and scheduling guidance to help families make a more informed choice about blended and remote learning, and to help our principals and teachers plan for fall. Questions about live instruction or grading? This is where you want to look.
While there will be some key differences between the two learning models, the expectation for high-quality instruction that is culturally responsive and rigorous remain the same as it always has across the board, for all students.
Visit schools.nyc.gov/returntoschool2020 to learn more about the ways all students will stay engaged with rigorous content aligned to grade-level standards, whether they choose to be fully remote or are learning in a blended environment.
