This Fall at Rockaway Community Music, our Ensemble Vocal Performance & Music Theory Class goes way beyond a standard sing-along. We use the songs kids already love to unlock deep, practical musicianship! 🎼

That's a wrap on the August Summer Music Intensive 2026 here at Rockaway Community Music!
We ended the August session with making a music video for one of the songs we learned over the course of the two weeks together. And we had so many laughs making it!

If you'd like to find out what we're getting up to this fall, join us for one of our open houses this week.
Today (Tuesday 8/25) I will be there from 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Come check out our studio at the Wave Building as we host a casual Drop-In Open House so you can meet me, check out the space, and let your young musician do a fun, 5-minute piano or vocal warm-up!

This week in the studio, our August Summer Music Intensive continues!
We’re halfway through Week 2 of our August Summer Music Intensive, and the energy in the studio has been off the charts! 🎤✨🥁

It’s been incredible watching these young musicians come together at the Wave Building. In just a few short days, they’ve gone from learning each other's names to working on two-part harmonies, mastering rhythm drills, playing connection games, and laughing like old friends.

Day 1 was an absolute blast at the August Summer Music Intensive! 🎤🥁✨
