Jaime Martin Ko Atilano (they/he/she, ), a non-binary immigrant from the Philippines, is an LGBTQ+ advocate and seasoned procurement and supply chain professional. At the University of Maryland and PepsiCo, they promoted inclusivity through initiatives like all-gender restrooms and leading an LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group. Currently, as a Solution Advisor at SAP, Jaime excels in solution selling for cloud ERP technology. They authored “Mala & the Mask of Gold,” exploring siblinghood, identity, and Filipinx mythology, and is an award-winning public speaker on diversity and inclusion in corporate spaces.

Please join us on May 2nd for the annual Columbia Engineering Magill Lecture in Science, Technology and the Arts, featuring a keynote by Jennifer Yu Cheng ’03SEAS, a distinguished alumna and member of our Engineering Board of Visitors. Jennifer will graciously share her journey from Columbia Engineering to her esteemed career in education, and how she has utilized an engineering education to launch the Education Hub and Benenden School in Guangzhou.

Are you passionate about the world of venture capital and building innovative startups? The Columbia Entrepreneurship and Venture Society (CEVS) is excited to invite you to join them for “Beyond the Pitch” on Friday, April 26th from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Columbia University Uris Hall 301, 3022 Broadway, New York, NY 10027.

They’ll kick off the event with 5-minute introductions from industry leaders in the venture capital and startup field, who will share their experiences, their missions, and more about the transformative companies they’re building. Following their presentations, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with them further during an hour-long breakout session. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to secure an exclusive coffee chat with your favorite speaker in the month following the event (first-come first-serve). Food and refreshments will be provided.

Speakers will include: Marie Yurkovich from Flagship Pioneering, Tom Mastrobuoni from Big Idea Ventures, Matthew Vine from RRE Ventures, Ashkan Novin from Genesist, Scott Alpizar (consulting for early-stage startups), and more.
