At we’re excited to begin another impactful mentorship session! Our Committee recently welcomed the FallCohort, bringing together 40 Mentor/Mentee pairs. More than 60 participants joined us for our Zoom Kickoff event on September 9th to connect and get to know one another.

Twenty-five years ago our home was witness to one of the most tragic events in our country's history. On September 11th, we remember the lives we lost and the families whose lives were changed forever.

But we should also remember what emerged in the days and years that followed: extraordinary courage, compassion, charity, and advocacy. People ran toward danger to help strangers. Communities opened their doors. Neighbors cared for neighbors. Ordinary people found extraordinary ways to serve, comfort, and stand up for one another. The spirit of 9/11 should not only be remembered for the tragedy. It should also be remembered for the humanity it brought forward. The courage to act. The generosity to give. The compassion to care. And the responsibility to speak up and advocate for those who needed a voice.

May we honor those we lost not only by remembering what happened, but by carrying forward the best of what came from it.
