The Brick Church School is above all a community where children, parents, teachers and staff of the School and Church are valued and respected. It is a school, not a "pre" school or child care facility. The Brick Church School teaching community regularly examines how children in general and individual children learn best.

Last weekend, Brick hosted The CSEE Early Educators Summit, featuring presenter Alan Brown of Learning to Thrive. We had an enriching day, filled with learning, reflection, and connection. It is always inspiring to attend these types of events, and we were grateful to be able to host this opportunity for professional development at Brick for so many educators who work with young children.

What a weekend at the 4th Annual Art of Play and Wonderment Conference!
Centered on the theme The Power of Play: Seeking Joy, this conference was designed to provide a space for early childhood educators, leaders/directors, professors, and poets to gather and reflect upon, celebrate, and share what they bring - and wish to bring - to early childhood classrooms, professional practice, and research.

Parachute play! Children took turns crossing over and under the parachute while classmates kept the waves billowing. Our parachute requires good teamwork since itās so big and heavy. Parachute play is a rewarding way for children to practice focus, impulse control, and persisting with a physical challenge. Itās a joyful and magical experience!

Itās our final ! Meet the amazing team in the TWTh Twos classroom! Did you knowā¦ The children recently did glacier mural painting in continuation of their study on Winter. They created an Arctic landscape using recyclable materials! Children painted the structure in white and varying shades of blue paint to make it look like glaciers in the Arctic. They had to move around, leaning in or moving their bodies sideways, to make sure they painted over every corner of the mural.
