Today, our Kindergarten students released their butterflies at Carl Schurz Park after weeks of observing them grow from caterpillars to chrysalises and finally beautiful butterflies. Watching them take flight was a magical culmination of their time together and a beautiful celebration of hands-on science learning!

New families recently gathered at the schoolhouse for our New Parent Welcome Reception! It was a joyful evening filled with connection, conversation, and community as families began getting to know one another and the Caedmon community. We are so excited for the 2026–2027 school year and look forward to welcoming their children into our classrooms!

Bravo to our Kindergarten–5th Grade students who performed at the Caedmon Spring Music Concert on Wednesday! It was a beautiful morning filled with song and a wide range of instruments. A special thank you goes to our music faculty for their dedication and hard work in making the concert such a success!

What a special Friday evening it was at the Caedmon Gala: Celestial Soirée ✨ Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun, supported the event, and helped make the night such a success. From the music and dancing to the meaningful conversations and generosity throughout the evening, it was a wonderful reminder of what makes the Caedmon community so special.

For more than 20 years, the Caedmon Fifth Grade Overnight Trip has been a cherished school tradition and a special opportunity for our soon-to-be graduates to celebrate the end of their Caedmon journey together.

Last week, the Class of 2026 spent three days at Fairview Lake in New Jersey, hiking along the Appalachian Trail, exploring the woods with naturalists, playing outdoor games, singing camp songs, and enjoying s’mores around the campfire.

By the end of the trip, students returned tired, inspired, and even more connected — with memories and friendships that will last long after Fifth Grade.

In just eight hours, Caedmon’s 2026 Gala, Celestial Soirée, will begin at Riverpark! There’s still time to get your ticket in our bio, but if you can’t attend in person, you can still join in on the festivities from home and help support this special evening.

Bravo to our Third and Fourth Grade students, who recently took the stage for their final performances after collaborating with artists-in-residence from the Grand Pistachio puppet theater company as part of their literacy units.

Third Graders, inspired by their study of Pourquoi tales, learned bunraku-style puppetry to bring Jabuti the Tortoise to life. Fourth Graders, after exploring graphic novels, used shadow puppetry to perform scenes from The Arrival.

Through these creative collaborations, students deepened their understanding of theme, character, and imagery while also building confidence, collaboration, and theatrical skills.
