Join STEMteachersNYC for OpenSciEd Elementary: Storytelling and Sense-Making from Phenomena with Juliette Guarino Berg and Kate Macaulay.

Explore how anchoring phenomena, storylines, text connections, and revising models can help elementary students make sense of science. Step into both student and teacher roles using kindergarten forces and motion or Grade 4 energy transfer and collisions as your model.

Expect hands-on exploration with everyday materials, time to collaborate, and approaches you can use whether or not your school teaches OpenSciEd.
