NYU CEMS is launching its Fall 2022 European Seminar Series on September 29 with a panel on European Climate and Energy Policy.
Following a summer of droughts, floods, heat, and high food prices in Europe -- and as Russia continues its war in Ukraine -- NYU CEMS' seminar series will bring together policy experts and scholars from a variety of disciplinary perspectives to present ongoing research, exchange ideas, and analyze recent developments on these and other related themes concerning European history, politics, economy, and society.

The European Union Delegation to the United Nations in New York recently released online the second episode of its EU Talks, hosted by Ambassador Olof Skoog **with NYU CEMS MA candidate Victoria Aranowicz as a special guest commentator.**
The second episode covers one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, the Security Council. The UN Security Council, composed of 5 permanent and 10 elected members, has the responsibility of maintaining international peace and security. EU Talks is honoured to host the Permanent Representative of Ireland to the United Nations, H.E. Geraldine Byrne Nason, a seasoned diplomat, with extensive experience in the UN, and whose country is a member of the Security Council for 2021/2022.
