We had so much fun at formal 🌟

In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the NYU Greek community wears denim today as part of the Peace Over Violence annual Denim Day campaign. Denim Day calls on us, friends, family, bystanders, community members to show up for survivors, to call out r**e culture and victim blaming, and to bring education about sexual violence everywhere and to everyone.

This campaign is vital for raising awareness of an issue that impacts far too many people in the Greek community and beyond, but we believe that this year we can do more.

In addition to wearing denim, Pi Phi will be matching the money we raise through Penny Wars so we can donate twice as much to a local women’s shelter dedicated to survivors of sexual assault. We challenge all the organizations of NYU Panhellenic Council and NYU Inter-Fraternity Council to do the same—together, we can have a greater impact.
