Thank you to everyone who supported us and FAN4Kids through this year's Play for Good Gala.

Because of your generosity, together we helped raise more than $88,000 — the most ever raised at a FAN4Kids gala. These funds will allow FAN4Kids to expand its reach to an additional 300 children and their families through fitness and nutrition programs that help kids build healthy habits for life.

Whether you attended the event, made a donation, bid in the auction, purchased raffle tickets, sponsored the gala, or helped spread the word, please know how much your support means. Takeover time: PS 150 Farmers Market Edition! 🌽🍎
Our FitKids hit the farmers market and got to shop for their own fresh produce! They even watched a live cooking demo featuring a delicious sweet-and-sour cabbage sauté. 👩‍🍳🥬🧅

We asked questions, explored the market, enjoyed lunch, and wrapped up the day with some fun at the park right across the street. 🏃🏾‍➡️🛝

Big shoutout to the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene for providing Health Bucks to make this experience possible! 💚🙌

Takeover Tuesday at P.S. 110! 🎉 Our FitKids kicked off the school year by creating their own personalized MyPlate folders to help them learn all about the 5 food groups and the amazing ways they fuel our bodies. 🥦🍎🥛
We wrapped up the day with a fun round of the Human Knot—a fun way to strengthen teamwork and problem-solving skills. 🤝🪢💪

With only two weeks until our FAN4Kids Annual Benefit on Tuesday, June 10 at Loft39 in Manhattan, we'd like to introduce you to our guest speaker for the evening and let you know to look for our online auction and raffle going live in one week!

Meet Dr. Brianna Baker:
Brianna A. Baker (.a.baker) (she/her/hers) is a doctoral candidate in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Her research interests broadly include sociopolitical determinants of mental health, Black youth and families, and ameliorating sociohistorical racial trauma through community-focused program development and policy-level interventions. Her dissertation explores the complexities the Black mother-daughter matrix related to gendered racial identity and socialization. She hopes to mesh her passions for communications, public health,and psychology to bring African American mental health to the forefront of America’s social, moral, and political agendas to advance racial and health equity. She is excited to be a part of F4K's annual event and believes wholeheartedly in the mission.
