37 years ago, a group of Brooklynites decided that no child should be denied an excellent Catholic education because of their family’s finances.

They called the people who made it possible Angels. Today those Angels span generations — grandparents, alumni, business owners, and neighbors who simply remember what a good school did for them.

To everyone who has ever been an Angel: the door you helped open is still open. Thank you for building something that outlasts any single gift.

A quiet fact we think about often: tuition covers only about 60% of what a Catholic education actually costs.

For the families we serve - median household income around $51,000 - that remaining gap is enormous. And yet, because of a community of supporters we affectionately call Angels, thousands of children in Brooklyn and Queens have never had to leave the classroom where they’re known by name.

No ask here. Just gratitude, and an open invitation: if you’ve ever supported this work, come see what your belief has grown into.

We are proud to be part of the 45th Annual The Great Irish Fair of New York on Saturday, September 12.

Our Director of Mission Advancement, Lauren McCormack, is being honored with the Kathleen Slattery Woman of the Year Award, and no one deserves it more.

Thank you to the Irish American Building Society for a day that gives so much back. All proceeds fund Catholic school tuition for students across Brooklyn and Queens.
