*To access QR code, screenshot this post and press and hold the QR code in the image* At the Center for Attachment Research at The New School, researchers are interested in studying the thoughts and feelings of young children (ages 5-8) in the United States, about social issues including social class differences and economic equity. Also of interest is how children behave socially in their familiar environments (home, school, with friends), as seen by parent(s). In order to understand these topics, the research team invites you to reach out if you and your child (both based in the US) are interested in participating.

The process includes a brief Zoom interview with the parent, and a separate Zoom session with parent and and child, who will be asked to tell some stories about related issues (in child-friendly terms). $25 gift card for participating!

Earlier today, our primary investigator Dr. Howard Steele published an op-ed in the well-renowned magazine, Newsweek. This article provides further insights on our fascinating ongoing study which explores 5-8 year old children’s thoughts and feelings towards redistributive justice, wealth and poverty.

so we adults often talk about wealth, poverty, and what it would mean to redistribute resources to those in need… but what do our kids think?

our CAR lab at The New School wants to know more. as social beings in their own right, kids’ thoughts & feelings about these important social issues matter, too!

if you or someone you know has a child 5-8 years old, help us learn more about these issues from a child’s perspective by participating in our Robin Hood Study! all participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card for helping us with our research :)
