TNSDB8 had another great weekend for New Novices with our friends from St John's at the West Point Tournament. Finishing the first day undefeated and ending prelims 5-1 as the 3rd Seed, NS CL ended their run in Octofinals and with an award for 2nd Speaker in Novice. Thanks to Army for being fantastic hosts! The amazing scenery definitely helps on the days that start at sunrise.

Congrats to New School (& St Johns) HC for advancing to Double-Octos and New School/Binghamton PZ getting to Octos, with 3 of 4 debaters winning awards at their very first tournament ever!!! We may have dropped on close 2-1 decisions but it's only made us more excited for our next tournaments.

We just capped CEDA 2025 but here is a throwback to the start of the current era from CEDA 2015 at WSU, with the great tradition of New School Novices coming to represent at Nationals. "We learned a lot" might be the TNSDB8 CEDA Nats mott.

TNSDB8 traveled to Boston the weekend for the NE Regional Championships hosted by the Debate Team. We had 3 brand new debaters debuting with Arlen, who finally got a Novice tournament. Despite a late start to the season everyone took home awards!!! TNS XW finished as octofinalists and TNS VZ made it to Quarterfinals! Great job team, and thanks to senior Michael Kpade for judging and coaching.

had our final travel tournament of the semester to West Point. While only Arlen's second tournament ever he competed in Open with partner Michael Kpade, who was the 8th Place Speaker for the tournament! Go Narwhals!

Friedrich and Gnarls join our other iconic duo on the way home from Rochester. Finished the tournament on a win and our newest novice team member picked up their first wins while debating Open! Next up...West Point (after some nap time on the bus).
