Trinity coach and performing arts and PE&F teacher Tom Bolster is the winner of the 2022 Distinguished Teaching Award! Mr. Bolster has worked at Trinity since 2006 and has served as a dean for the classes of 2015, 2019, 2021, and 2023. He was the interim assistant Upper School principal in 2016-17. He is the head coach of the girls varsity soccer team which won the Ivy League championship last fall. Amid the Covid-related disruptions of the past few years, Mr. Bolster has raised his hand and eagerly taken on every role imaginable. Trinity is beyond fortunate to have him as a member of our community.
The Distinguished Teaching Endowment was created in 1983 as a tribute to Clarence Bruner-Smith, Dudley M. Maxim ’32, and Frank G. Smith. The Trinity Alumni and Alumnae Association awards the honor and a $10,000 prize each year to a teacher who has worked at Trinity for ten years or more and exemplifies the history and traditions of the school. At yesterday’s faculty and staff meeting, Chair of the TAAA Nominating Committee Nicole George-Middleton ’93 presented Mr. Bolster with the prize.
