Was finishing up a project at and spotted one of my titles on the wall of fame ; The bestseller YA “Life As We Knew It” was recorded 20 years ago, and won a whole bunch of awards. Revisiting books you haven’t listened to or read in a while is like catching up with an old friend. Do you think I sound the same? 🎙️🎧❤️
26 years ago I did my first ever animation job for MTV. I’d been a long time fan; I remember watching the music video for “Baby Got Back” at my neighbor’s house in elementary school. She had an older sister and so naturally she was way cooler and knew so much more than I did.
Fast forward many years, I got my first MTV booking on “Celebrity Deathmatch” as the voice of vs
Back in the 1990’s’s and 2000’s, my manager would fax me my sides and scripts for my auditions, and for MTV, I’d have to call a voicemail to audition. “Hello, you’ve reached the MTV Audition hotline”, we would hear, before I and scores of other actors would record our audition after the sound of the tone. I spent years working for MTV; voiceover, commercials, promos, on-air VJ, live events, cartoons, you name it. Thanks to extraordinaire it was nonstop for me. I was there so often with recording that eventually I had my own badge. Those were tumultuous and chaotic years in a lot of way for me personally. I was a young actor with so much drive, then a young mother, still with so much drive but also with a baby, then two babies , balancing so much. I think it was EJ who suggested I build a booth in my house (which I did), but I still came to 1515 Broadway every Wednesday, up to the 22nd floor, record with my MTV family. I don’t have any recordings from the literal hundreds- maybe thousands - of promos and commercials and appearances , I had a hard drive failure in 2013 and lost decades of clips. But the internet has graced me with this memory of my very first ever animation job. And the rest, as they say, is history. Thanks for everything MTV.

At lunch at yesterday, I shared with the table, filled with fellow narrators, directors, engineers, and authors, that I’d been working as an audiobook narrator since I was about 15 years old. I stopped and thought about that and let it sink in. Can you believe it?! Don’t do the math too hard, but that’s decades of audiobooks. Close to 1,000 titles across almost every genre, from literary fiction, to children’s, to sci-fi, romance, memoirs, YA, self-help, original and adapted multicast performances, and more.
There’s a lot I love about narrating audiobooks, and I hope my listeners feel the same : I love that my best friends are the stories, the characters, and the glorious words of the author. When I’m narrating a book, I completely invest in the world I’m living in and narrating. As I read, nothing else exists.
Thank you to the authors, publishers, studios, and listeners who have welcomed me into their homes over these many years. I’m proud to be your humble narrator.

Thank you New Orleans and for a super special weekend in the Big Easy! It was non stop fun with friends, fans, and of course…food. Eternally grateful to have the opportunity to connect with each and every one of you! Thursday was Jazz, night markets, and gumbo, Friday was biscuits and gravy, Day 1 NostalgiaCon, and an epic Yu-Gi-Oh! reunion. Saturday was NostalgiaCon Day 2, Shrimp and Grits, Ghost Hunter tour and lots of fun with our super fun and wild group. Sunday was breakfast, a final exciting few hours at NostalgiaCon and then sadly back home, but not before some final beignets and muffuletta! I didn’t get to see everyone I wanted to, which means I’m already looking forward to 2026
