Our last adventure in NYC was Maybe Happy Ending which won the Tony Award for Best Musical last year. After the show, some students waited at stage door for the cast to get pictures and signatures on playbills. ππ

After The Museum of Broadway, we had free time in Times Square. Students were able to take in sights and shops. ππ

Our last day in the city started with a workshop through Broadway Imagined. Students worked with Patrick Sulken, a Broadway Music Director. Then, Jason Forbach joined to sing along. Jason plays Henry Ford (and others) in the revival of Ragtime that we saw Saturday evening. The workshop ended with Q&A. ππ

We had a little bit of time to take a stroll through a fraction of Central Park on Monday afternoon. It was a cloudy/foggy day all day. We started the walk dry, but rain caught us toward the end of the hike. ππ

Monday afternoon we sang at The Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Not a very large crowd, but the students enjoyed signing in the space, particularly hearing their sound echo through the cathedral seconds after they stopped singing. ππ

Stated Monday with an exchange with a theatre class and choir class at Susan E. Wagner High School. A couple of years ago they sang one of the pieces Bel Canto brought on the trip (βElijah Rockβ by Moses Hogan. Many Wagner students joined Bel Canto to sing together. ππ π€ ππ©Ά

Ended our educational Sunday with a lot of fun. We boarded the Spirit of New York and got to see lower Manhattan, Ellis Island, and the Statue of Liberty from the water. The trip included a buffet dinner, a dance floor, and a DJ. ππ
