I studied with Amy Justman when I first moved to NYC, and was transitioning from opera to musical theatre. I routinely give out the advice she gave me for the top of "There's a Fine, Fine Line:"
"Show me how interesting your 'nothing' is."
She's incredible at working with singers crossing between classical and MT singing. Amy has been in six (!!) Broadway productions, including understudying BOTH Jessie Mueller AND Renee Fleming in Carousel.
