Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter (Queens, NY Graduate Chapter) has provided service to the Queens community since April 14, 2007.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority was founded January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University in Washington, D.C. by five coeds. These women dared to depart from the traditional coalitions for Black women and sought to establish a new organization predicated on the precepts of Scholarship, Service, Sisterly Love and Finer Womanhood. On Saturday instead of expecting the community to come to us, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter met the community where they were- at the library! Leveraging the unique expertise and skills of chapter member Julian N. Fairweather, Esq., we hosted an estate planning workshop to help ensure that the community understands the importance of ensuring that their personal and financial affairs are in order. This workshop embodied our commitment to intentional service, economic empowerment, and the principles that continue to strengthen our sisterhood 💙

This past weekend, the chapter completed our monthly service at the South Ozone Park Community Fridge! 💙
The third Saturday of each month is not only chapter meeting day for Phi Zeta Zeta, but also our dedicated community fridge visit day. Chapter members deep cleaned the fridge and restocked it with bag lunches for those in need.
Our commitment to serving the community extends beyond our monthly visits as well. Throughout the month, chapter members stopped by with additional meals including bagels, chicken & waffles, fish dinners, steak meals, and more to help keep the fridge stocked for our neighbors in need.

Located at 132-06 Liberty Ave, South Richmond Hill, NY 11419 the fridge is a free 24/7 resource that aims to fight food insecurity and food waste.
Phi Zeta Zeta Chapter members meet monthly to clean and restock the fridge with free food for those in need.
