Last night, Columbia/Barnard Hillel welcomed students, alumni, parents, and friends to Low Library for our Annual Seixas Dinner!

We were proud to honor Ester Fuchs, Nicholas Lemann, and David Schizer, Co-Chairs of the Task Force on Antisemitism at Columbia University, with the Gershom Mendes Seixas Award, and David Fine with the Young Leadership Award.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a meaningful and wonderful evening.

Columbia/Barnard Hillel students have had the privilege of hearing from alumni through our Careers After Columbia series, fostering meaningful connections with graduates working in technology, consulting, finance, and law.

We extend our sincere thanks to the alumni who joined us at the Kraft Center. It has been truly inspiring to learn about the impactful work you have pursued since graduation.

From a 1,100 person Shabbat dinner at the school's gymnasium to an Ishay Ribo concert, Jewish joy is thriving at Columbia. That's the positive story about Jewish life at Columbia that doesn't get told enough.
Despite two years of growth and progress, challenges still exist on campus. Lavine Family Executive Director Brian Cohen spoke to JNS.org about how Columbia students are celebrating their Judaism.

Spring Break 2026 was certainly one for the books!

Students traveled abroad for three Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trips to Greece, Rio de Janeiro, and Poland, each offering a different lens into Jewish history, culture, and contemporary community life.

Across all three trips, students explored Jewish communities abroad and returned to campus energized for the spring semester!
