This year’s festival features 144 graduate and undergraduate films representing animation, documentary, experimental, and narrative works. 🎬

Then, join us the following Wednesday (April 15th) for the King Awards Ceremony, where 8 finalists’ films will screen at Regal Union Square. 🍿

JOIN US AT THE 5TH ANNUAL NYU SPORTS FILM FESTIVAL!

Friday, April 25th & Saturday, April 26th

Celebrate sports media at the Angelika Film Center, where a curated selection of short films from around the world will be screened in competition for festival awards! Events outside of the screenings will include a panel on the Diverse Mediums of Sports Storytelling and a Pitch Contest where you can get a chance to pitch your sports film ideas in front of people who can turn them into reality! The 2025 festival, produced by the NYU Production Lab, NYU Athletics, and the NYU Tisch Institute for Global Sport, will feature intimate sessions with award-winning sports media veterans who will share invaluable insights!
