The women of Kappa Delta sorority pride themselves with their Open Motto-- striving for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest. Members foster the development of their time-honored values within the context of friendship. Kappa Delta is committed in providing opportunities and experiences that inspire women to greatness. Kappa Deltas are involved both inside and outside the chapter, with office holders on student organizations, athletes in club and intramural sports and scholars in the honors college. “I never pictured myself as the type of girl who would brag about their sorority but I truly talk about Kappa Delta any chance I’m given. KD has allowed me to thrive not only socially but academically and professionally, pushing me to be the absolute best version of myself. The amount of genuine support and love amongst my sisters is something truly special that I cannot wait to share with our new PC. To me, a KD is the type of girl who would pick you up no matter how hard you fall and I see that reflected every day here. “Rushing was one of the most unexpected things I chose to do my freshman year and I cannot be more grateful with the choice I made. Kappa Delta felt like a home away from home that brought me so many friendships and opportunities I would not have gotten otherwise. The girls that surround our sisterhood really show who we are as a chapter not only on Michigan state’s campus, but in a community as a whole. My leadership role has opened so many doors to getting know each and every girl on a personal level that helped to deepen my relationship with KD. When I went through recruitment, I was just hoping to find people to do college with, but I never could have imagined finding friendships that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. This house has become so much more than I ever expected, and I will forever be grateful for every person who made this chapter feel like home and for the memories we’ve made these past three years.
