🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED🚨 (NY / NJ / PA/ CT)

A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE needed for this sweet 7-year-old female, Cockapoo who was surrendered to the Manhattan shelter just before Christmas. She is gentle, loving, affectionate, and craves human connection. We are calling her our Christmas Angel.

She does have some medical needs. She is overweight, has a cataract in one eye, an ear infection which was treated at the shelter, and has suspected allergies. After the holidays, we will address her medical needs, including a full medical assessment and follow-up with an ophthalmologist. All which will be covered by AACSR .

Right now, what she needs most is simple: a safe, calm home, a soft bed, and someone to show her she is safe and wanted.

Christmas Angel urgently needs a safe place by TODAY so she doesn’t spend Christmas in a shelter cage.. We are hoping to get her out of the shelter immediately so she can experience the holidays surrounded by love instead of noise and concrete.

Part of being a responsible Dog guardian is not permitting Dogs to harm or kill wildlife or harm anyone, including other animals. If you cannot control your Dogs from doing this, secure your Dogs near other animals and hire a reward-based, force-free, science-based Dog Trainer or behaviour consultant to help you manage the issues.

Happy Thanksgiving! Have fun but keep it safe for Dogs and all pets. Keep all food, trimmings, bones out of your Dog's and pet's reach as well as other toxic items like Xylitol (in many foods, candies that guests may bring), chocolate, macadamia nuts, toxic plants and flowers, etc.). There are frequent ER's in vet hosptials this time of year due to Dogs ingesting these foods and substances. No scraps that could set off life threatening pancreatis and cookie dough deadly. Offer your Dog a quiet room or place to retreat from noise and company and know the signs of a Dog and animals being stressed. They can be easily missed or misinterpreted. Monitor kids and Dogs at all times. Keep animals out of the coat room where toxic substances and items could be ingested.

Please consider everything involved in bringing a companion animal family member into your home (food, medical, clothing, toys, sitters, etc.). If you cannot adopt, shelters and rescues need fosters in order to save lives. If you cannot foster, you can volunteer or donate needed items, or any amount$.
