Meet our Teaching Artists 🌟
Our Teaching Artists don’t just teach dance and movement. They create spaces where students can try something new, take risks, and create together.
This is where so much of the growth happens. And these are the magic makers!

Movement doesn’t have an age limit!
In our older adult programs, participants come together to move and connect – rediscovering joy and creativity along the way.
The arts open doors at every stage of life.

Our Teaching Artists don’t just teach dance… They build brave, creative spaces where students can take healthy risks, try something new, and create together.
Their work is part coach, part collaborator, part community-builder and the impact goes far beyond a final performance.
We want to shine a spotlight on Suzie Hepker, an inspirational musical theater teaching artist with Together in Dance since 2022!

A tiny win in our residencies can be many things.
Here we have middle schoolers, in the middle of a movement, reaching for each other and don’t let go.
For a moment, they’re fully in it.
Present. Connected. Together.
At Together in Dance, we look for these moments. They might seem small, but they’re where confidence takes root.
Over time, those moments turn into connection. And connection becomes a sense of belonging.
What’s a tiny win you remember from school? We’d love to hear it!

Here at the start of many of our residencies this Spring, we want to pause and talk about the process.
These are the moments where students try something new, move together, build trust in the room.
Through dance and musical theater, our students are not just preparing for a show. They’re growing in confidence, finding their voice, and learning how to be part of something bigger. And for us, that’s the best part!
Thank you for supporting the process!

As we enter 2026, we’re holding close the words of former Together in Dance student Peter McGarry on the power of arts education:
“An education in the performing arts is a deeply personal, emotional, and spiritual experience. It asks us to look at the world fully, find our own point of view, and express it honestly. Learning to be an artist is learning to speak truth to power — and to allow a more authentic, empathetic version of yourself.”
This is why arts education matters.
This is why we do what we do.
If this resonates with you, please consider supporting Together in Dance so this work can continue for students in 2026 and beyond.

Some of our most stand-out Together in Dance Musical Theater students lit up the stage at our recent event. We were blown away by their talent, confidence, and joyful personalities.
If you didn’t get to see them perform in person at our fundraising event, it’s not too late to support the programs that make moments like this possible. Your donation helps ensure students continue to sing, dance, create, and shine in the year ahead.

Ever wanted to step inside a Together in Dance Musical Theater residency? Students sing, dance, and act — and they’re also the choreographers, working together to create dances for their songs. Best of all, they become songwriters, contributing original lyrics to the finale. Please donate to keep this program running into 2026 and beyond!

“Our students love Together in Dance because it makes learning fun through movement, creativity, and storytelling. The program helps them build confidence and teamwork while turning classroom concepts into exciting, hands-on experiences.”
