This Sunday, TwoFifty Docs launches Episode 1 — 250 years of American food history, and the immigrants whose hands actually built it. Colonial pretzels. Ellis Island pushcarts. The decades restaurants quietly erased "authentic" from their menus. And the Korean tacos and banh mi on your corner today.

Every bite has a passport you were never shown.

This country gave me freedom, opportunity, and a dream worth fighting for.
I wasn't just given a place to live, I was given a place to BELONG.

I am proud to say the Pledge, proud to stand for the Flag, and proud to call myself an American.
America is not perfect, but it is still the greatest country on Earth. The land of the brave, the home of the free.

Look at this plate. Every flag is "correct" — and every flag is also incomplete.

Fries: claimed by France, actually Belgian.
Tomato sauce: "Italian," but tomatoes are native to the Americas — Italy didn't have this dish until the 1500s.
Sushi: shaped by trade routes across Southeast Asia and China long before it became "Japanese."

Ownership of food is one of the most argued-about things online — and almost always, both sides are half right and half wrong.

This week we're releasing a full documentary — "250 Years of Food" — tracing how immigration actually built the American plate, from 1776 to today. This image is the opening question. The documentary is the answer.
