At the Training Fund, we take our responsibility for this beautiful planet seriously. From incorporating green teachings into everyday curriculum, to today's celebrations for staff and members, we believe the Earth to be a special place worthy of care and attention.
Ferdinand Fernandez from the Dominican Republic is the latest 32BJ member to pass the citizenship test. We wish him many good things.

We congratulate the newest American citizens among our students, Fatbardha Ismaili from Albania and Renee Cangalaya from Peru. Like immigrants throughout the country, they have been serving the US for years, and have now achieved this milestone despite many recent challenges.

Last week, our colleague Paul Zurawski, Curriculum Development Specialist, traveled to Dallas to attend the Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE) conference and find out how other adult education programs are navigating this fraught political moment. During sessions such as Using Anti-Colonial Philosophy to Improve Your Teaching, Curriculum Design, and Program, he found innovative thinking and a mutual understanding that protecting our students’ best interests is a priority that requires intention and creativity.

The Department of Homeland Security just announced re-registration for holders from certain countries. If you currently hold TPS and are from El Salvador, Venezuela, Sudan or Ukraine, you will be able to re-register soon. We will update you as more information is released.
El Salvador:
-Extension is from March 10, 2025 through September 9, 2026
-Current TPS holders must re-register between January 17, 2025 and March 18, 2025
Venezuela
-Extension is from April 3, 2025 through October 2, 2026
