In loving memory of Judy Rice, a gifted dancer, an electric performer, and an exceptional educator and mentor.
She was a member of Joffrey Concert Group and The Joffrey Ballet inspiring audiences across the globe, and her love and dedication to teaching shaped the lives of countless students.
Under the direction of Artistic Director John Magnus, she was a primary faculty member of the original Joffrey Midwest and instrumental in the development of the success of the program for many years.
We honor her life and her extraordinary legacy.
We extend our deep condolences to her family, friends, students, and our
Joffrey Ballet School community.

A legacy in motion.
For us, ballet lives through the entire community dancers, choreographers, faculty, staff, families, and supporters who continue to shape and sustain the art form.
Since the 1970s, the vision of Robert Joffrey has helped shape generations of artists through the work of the Joffrey Ballet School.
Still reminiscing on the beautiful weekend that was In My Art. Across three performances, the dancers of the Joffrey Concert Group brought a powerful collection of works to life, sharing movement that was thoughtful, dynamic, and deeply expressive.
As an organization, we could not be prouder to continue empowering young artists and supporting the next generation as they pursue their dreams and careers in dance.
Thank you to the choreographers, dancers, faculty, staff, families, and audience members who made the weekend so memorable.
So Timothy, you’re welcome to see what we do…

This past Friday, February 20, the Joffrey Concert Group gathered for a powerful evening of performance and purpose at our fundraising reception hosted by Board Member, Teresa Lomotan and artistic director, and presentation of In My Art.
The energy in the room was undeniable — artists, supporters, alumni, and friends coming together in celebration of new work and a shared belief in what this company represents. There was generosity, warmth, and a palpable sense of community that carried from the stage into every conversation throughout the night.
These photographs capture more than a performance — they reflect the support, commitment, and love surrounding the Concert Group.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, who believes in this work, and who continues to champion the future of our artists. 📸 by Sean Zanni and Patrick McMullen
