Today we celebrated our excellent LMT students with a luncheon and some recognition of the best students have to offer.
Thank you everyone for coming out to celebrate and honor the students! And thank you to Linda Conte, Maggie Natal and Ericka Clinton for organizing this.

Congratulations to all of our new Medical Assistant, Medical Billing &Coding, Surgical Tech, and CSPT students for completing their first full week of classes! We're so excited to see you all succeed. Before you know it, you'll be wearing your cap and gown.
Don't forget to take advantage of the resources we have here at Swedish Institute for you, including our 4th floor library and 5th floor lounge.
And to all of our students in every program, keep up the great work. We know how hard you all work, and we believe in you all.

On July 11th our Massage Therapist Retention Coordinator Linda Conte hosted a graduate panel professional development class for 14 students in the massage therapy program, most whom are midway through the program.
Four graduates of the Swedish Institute Massage Therapy program gave advice on how students can grow and flourish in the profession. Students came away highly motivated to enter massage therapy as a career and we thank our graduates who gave of their time to give back to the Swedish community.

Swedish Institute celebrates and acknowledges Disability Pride Month. Disability Pride Month happens every July to mark the ADA's anniversary, which was passed on July 26, 1990.
Here at Swedish Institute, we want to celebrate the qualities that make everyone unique. Disability Pride Month is about acknowledging that being disabled shouldn't be a hindrance to education or employment. Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling and successful life.

Swedish Institute will be closed today, June 19th, in observation of Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day.

Today, we observe our country's second independence day, honoring the emancipation of slaves in the South and the end of the American Civil War. While Juneteenth has been celebrated since the 1860s, it has grown in recognition and became a federal holiday in 2021.

Today, we look back on the history of Black people in America and celebrate their place in American culture.

It's almost time for Graduation!! We're so excited to see you all and to have you all up on the stage with us at SVA on June 28th!
And to our students who are still looking ahead to their future graduation ceremony, keep up the great work!! Soon, you'll be walking across that stage yourself. 🎓🎓🎓

Congratulations to our VP of Marketing, Chelsea Frost-Lawes, on her soon-to-be baby girl!! We’re so happy to welcome her to the Swedish Institute family soon. 🤰👶

During the COVID pandemic, Gavin Powell changed his career and attended Swedish Institute to become a licensed massage therapist. But the journey didn't end there, and Gavin grew his education to include modalities including pet massage!

🇺🇸 Today we honor those who have sacrificed their lives serving our nation and the cause of freedom. I trust all of you will take a moment to discuss and allow students, colleagues, friends, and loved ones an opportunity to understand the significance of this important holiday…why our nation pauses, reflects, and honors those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Let us all remember and pray for those at rest and their loved ones who remain.

Let us also take a moment to thank those who have served or continue to serve our country with bravery and honor. My brother served two tours in Afghanistan, and I thank him today for his service.
