Sorry if we’re being a little aggressive... but please respect our students, okay? 🧐📚
Today’s Xulibook is dedicated to our Advanced Photobook students:
.idi9716 .marta .jindo
Noah, Heidi, Addie, Masa, Maxwell, and Kyle.
Special mention also for Cassius and Prodige, who are not on the video but also made a great a Photobook. 🫡
Over the past few months, they’ve explored different approaches to photobook experimenting with binding techniques, layouts, sequencing, text, materials, and storytelling. 📖
Thanks to the guidance of Tony White, each student developed a completely unique project, proving that there isn’t just one way to make a photobook. ✨
We’re incredibly proud of what they’ve created. Not only are they talented photographers, but they’re also thoughtful artists with stories worth sharing. 📸
You can enjoy these books, as well as a wide selection of our students’ photographic works, all summer long at the in New York.
This wouldn’t be possible without , thank you for helping make this project possible.🙏
Which book would you pick up first? 👀✨

What can a hand say about a person? 👀✋
Today’s Xulibook is MANUAL: The Personality of Hands by Bill Westheimer
We’re NYC SALT, and this is 𝓧𝓾𝓵𝓲𝓫𝓸𝓸𝓴𝓼 📚✨
a space where we share unique and inspiring photobooks by artists from around the world.
This book transforms hands into portraits.
Over the course of three years, Westheimer photographed 150 people from surgeons and artists to magicians and musicians using a mix of 19th-century photographic techniques with early digital editing processes to create something that feels both scientific and deeply human.
Each portrait combines:
a photograph of the hand,
a handprint made in the darkroom,
and handwritten words from the subject themselves.
The result?
Portraits without faces… that somehow feel incredibly personal.
The more you look at the fingerprints, gestures, wrinkles, pressure marks, and handwriting… the more each hand starts telling its own story. 👀✨
