Unleash your inner Bouffon in an explosion of fun and comedy gold!

Imagine a wild-eyed pack of Players, ecstatic to mock anything and everything. Ridiculous, confronting and poetic, this Satyric chorus teeters on the edge of fun and uncomfortable truth.

How is Bouffon related to Clown? 
The World laughs at the Clown, but the Bouffons laugh at the World! 

Students will discover the attitude and drives of the Bouffon, through:
-   Ensemble play & Complicity
-   Chorus work
-   Finding the fun in mocking
-   Non-linear play.
-   Investigating dynamics of objects, actions, and roles

Discover the world of Harlequino, Smeraldina, Pantalone, and other archetypes of the Commedia dell’Arte. Learn to bring the mask to life. Celebrate the vulgar, the romantic, and - of course - the profane. Students will learn to find character through physicality, improvise virtuosically, and find the lazzi (or the games, if ya wanna be all English about it). So come on! Live fully in your body. Investigate the actor/creator. Take ownership of your work and learn to live in the juicy moment of now!
