A true legend of the game.
If you really know ball, you know exactly what Russell Westbrook means to the sport.
As he officially announces his retirement, we say goodbye to one of the most relentless, electric, and passionate competitors the hardwood has ever seen.
Night in and night out, Russ gave absolutely everything he had.
He completely redefined what it meant to play the point guard position, shattering records that the basketball world once thought were unbreakable.
Just look at the legendary resume he leaves behind:
🔹2016-17 NBA MVP
🔹9x NBA All-Star
🔹9x All-NBA Selection
🔹3x Assists Champion
🔹2x Scoring Champion
🔹2x All-Star Game MVP
🔹Member of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team
On top of all that, he walks away holding the scoring crown for his position, finishing with the most points scored by a point guard in NBA history.
Enjoy retirement, Brodie.
You earned it.
