Join professional private tutors Alex and Jeannine, founders of Test Day Hero, as they offer guidance on how to work with your student while maintaining (most of) your sanity. They’ll give a short talk followed by a Q&A, where you can ask them for help with anything school-related!

Hi Parents,
So you’ve found yourself unexpectedly homeschooling, or needing to help your kids with their schoolwork. We can help. Help us help you help them?
We’re a small tutoring company based in NYC, but since all our work is remote now anyway we’re happy to work with you wherever you are. We’d like to help whether or not you’re able to pay.
If you’d like tutoring and can afford it:
- Great! Check us out at testdayhero.com, shoot us a message, or email [email protected].
- Most of our staff work in the performing arts, which means that they’re all effectively out of work for the near future, so you’d be throwing some much-needed support their way.
If you’d like tutoring and can’t afford it:
- We’re here to help. We can’t volunteer our staff’s time, but we founders are happy to volunteer our own, either for free or as a pay-what-you-can. We’re only two people, but we’ll try to help as much as we’re able.
- Alex will be holding free office hours on Zoom or Skype every weekday from 1:30-3 (subject to change depending on school schedule). Submit a question to [email protected] and he’ll let you know how to sign up for a 10-minute slot.
- Jeannine is also happy to answer questions! Email [email protected].
- We have a youtube channel called Test Day Hero. As we get questions that could be helpful to answer publicly, we’ll start putting up more videos.
If your kid needs support:
We have pretty much all subjects covered, including things like languages and music theory. We even have a great tutor certified to work with K-6 special needs/special education students.
In addition to standard subject tutoring, we can help with:
-- Study skills
-- Time management
-- Making sure your kid is still on track with the standard curriculum and prepared for next year, since everything is a little out of whack right now
If you need support:
Yeah, you’re finding yourself in a position you didn’t expect. Homeschooling is hard. We can help with:
-- Refreshing your memory on the subjects you’re helping them with
-- Figuring out how to best get your kid to focus and/or listen to you
-- Where to start
-- Supplementary resources
-- Staying mostly sane
Basically, anything you think would be helpful, we'll do our best to accommodate. We’re open to suggestions as well!
