TOUCHY TOPIC POST ALERT!
Today,
The day before that day,
We can Never Forget
is, for many, a day of rest.
A day to commune with God.
A day to practice 'Spirituality.'
Whatever religious beliefs you hold dear,
(God knows there are multitudes)
I believe you must understand
and Never Forget
that the original meaning of SPIRIT,
from the Latin word spiritus,
means: Breath, to breathe, to aspirate.
Thus, if one genuinely aspires to be Spiritual,
One must connect deeply to one's Breath.
One may pray, preach, or perform rituals
to express devotion to one's chosen denomination
fervently, but to do so without embodying
This truth of one's Divine Design is,
For lack of a better term,
a bit of a sin.
Not trying to cast stones,
but going through the motions,
as I have, and I'm sure many do,
is like living a lie.
But if you never learned this truth,
I'm sure you are forgiven.
Spirituality is not just believing in
or praying to the God of one's choice.
It is a mental and physical conditioning.
An Air-conditioning, if you will.
The body is a temple. More holy and sacred
than any church, mosque, or synagogue.
And while religion is waning,
Breathwork and hyper-physicality are growing.
It's like our Collective DNA is finding its way
back to 'Source' through an embodied sense
of the miraculous abilities that a few brave souls
have been able to accomplish.
Death-defying stunts and leaps of faith
People take to feel vitally alive;
feels like a symptom of this shift.
But I digress.
Today, tomorrow, and forever, remember
Without the sacred Breath, there is no blessed life.
May the souls of loved ones lost
On that day, during the pandemic,
and across the raging ages, return
To the Great Spirit
and May You embrace
Every Breath with grace.
Ahhhhhh-hoooooo
