The Children's Acting Academy

The Children's Acting Academy We are one of the top acting schools in New York and have been providing children with acting classes At The Children's Acting Academy your child will excel.

Our acting classes feature instruction, observation and performance from professionals working on Broadway and on TV. Previous activities have included:
-Learning STOMP choreography from a cast member
-Working with a voice-over artist and then watching her record and watching her cartoons
-Experiencing stage combat from a stunt coordinator
-Learning improvisation from a top improv artist who has toured with various improv and sketch comedy troupes
-Giving periodic performance recitals

We want our students to experience the business of acting as well. We have:
-Been directed by top casting directors
-Met with agents and personal managers
-Toured a TV studio
-Worked on audition skills with Broadway stars

Your child will learn acting from the best in the business, get a chance to perform and have fun. You will also be able to take advantage of our extensive contact list of agents looking for young talent.

🎭 Our first Tuesday acting class at Children’s Acting Academy was a success! 🎭

We kicked off our very first class with one of our favorite first-day games, “Getting to Know You,” then jumped into improv with games like “Yes, And” to build confidence, creativity, and listening skills.

Our students also received their monologues and got started on character work, beginning the process of developing their characters and making their material their own.

We’re so excited for everything this group will accomplish this semester! 🎬✨

Initial Auditions tomorrow Sunday 9/13 you can come any time from 1-4 PM.
Or
You can come any time on Wednesday 9/16 from 5-7 PM

CALLBACKS
Everyone who auditions must attend the callbacks the entire time from 12:30-3:30 on Sunday 9/20.

Production details:
Location of auditions & rehearsals is 131 West 72nd Street. Auditions room 2F.
Everyone must audition for proper casting in the show.
2 casts.
Auditions September 13 from 1-4 PM
or
September 16 from 5-7
Sign in for your audition upon arrival.
Parents must pick up an information sheet.
Auditions are first come, first serve. It does not take long once you go in.
Please prepare one song of your choice. No rap.
Please bring sheet music for the musical director to play or karaoke on a phone or blue tooth.
Rehearsals 1-4 PM on Sundays, or later.
First rehearsal and final casting September 20 12:30-3:30 PM
