We are so excited to invite our Park Slope community to join our OFNS community on Saturday, May 9th for music and family fun at !

We will have a kids’ concert by Grammy-winning artist Cèsar Orozco () followed by Latin Jazz for the grown-ups!

A tissue paper art workshop with will keep little hands busy!

A RAFFLE will include major donations from top local restaurants and other businesses, including:

Our Spring Egg Hunt came with perfect weather, a surprise piñata, parachute games, tie-dying and of course lots of eggs!

It was great to meet next year’s friends and welcome them to our OFNS community! Thanks to all the families who made this such a fun and special day!

We’ve been working on our self-portraits! We looked for the shapes we could find in our faces. What shapes do you see? All of our faces look so different!

This week we were dazzled by the story of Aladdin at ! Even the puppets that weren’t in the show were fun to look at. Thanks to the amazing puppeteers who brought the story to life right before our eyes! We can’t wait to come back!

A blast was had by all at this year’s BLAST OFF! 🚀🪐💫

The class had made their own egg-carton jet packs, helmets, and control panels for their homemade rocket ship, not to mention an entire papier-mâché solar system for us to enjoy. They were excited for their families to join them in the Big Room and watch them take off.

They entered single-file to David Bowie’s “Space Oddity” and proceeded to climb on board their rocket ship and commence countdown. Everyone had a job to do. We were awed to watch them blast off into space right there in the Big Room!

Everyone has since safely returned to Earth and continued learning all about outer space with Therese and Nicole. We’re already excited for next year’s Blast Off! 💥

Our field trip to was a true delight! Both the kids and their grown-up chaperones had a great time learning how our favorite neighborhood bagel place makes their delicious bagels!

We saw, smelled, and tasted the bagels, watched them turn around in the oven, walked into the walk-in refrigerator, and learned that the baker gets there at 3 AM every day!

THE OFNS CHRISTMAS TREE SALE HAS BEGUN!

Pop on over to the alleyway next to Old First Church, walk amongst the Christmas Trees and take home a big dose of holiday cheer!

We’ve got your slender silvery Fraser Firs and your chubby, smell-like-Christmas Balsam Firs, from tabletop size to over 11’. We’ve got garlands and wreaths and an inflatable Bluey!

All sales are tax-deductible and benefit Old First Nursery School, the oldest coop preschool in Brooklyn.

We will be out every weekend til Christmas, Saturday and Sunday 9AM-6PM! Hope to see you there!
