πŸ“šβœ¨ This year, Ms. Taylor and Ms. Barrer ran an after-school Bookmaking Club for MS 51 students, helping them create original books for the citywide Ezra Jack Keats Bookmaking Competition.
We are incredibly proud of Madeleine A., whose book, Just A Little Place To Be Yourself, earned an award in the competition! πŸŽ‰ Madeleine was recognized at the Brooklyn Public Library, where she received her award and prize check.

Congratulations to Ms. Wilson and our incredibly talented Dance Department on this week’s production of We Dance Brooklyn! The performances were absolutely brilliant and beautifully showcased the rich history and evolution of dance in Brooklyn.

🌿πŸ₯ Exciting news from classes 604, 605, 606 & 607!
Ms. Pleskova, Mr. Mercier, and their students have partnered with Center for Environmental Education (CEED) to hatch and raise baby Northern Bobwhite quail!
Once mature, the quail will be released on Eastern Long Island to help reintroduce this native species to its natural habitat. πŸͺΊπŸŒΎ
This hands-on conservation project gives students the opportunity to learn about environmental stewardship, wildlife conservation, and the importance of protecting local ecosystems. πŸ’š

From producing and directing to running lights, sound, and every behind-the-scenes moment, our students brought this production to life with creativity, teamwork, and heart. What an incredible showcase of talent both on stage and off!
