Free and this weekend!
A lot of families ask me: “Should my student take the SAT or ACT?”
The honest answer is—you don’t guess. You test it.
I’m running full-length mock SAT and ACT exams so students can see which test actually plays to their strengths. Afterward, I meet with each family for a 45-minute breakdown to go over results, patterns, and next steps.
It’s one of the most efficient ways to take the guesswork out of test prep.

SAT vs. ACT: How to Choose the Right Test (and Avoid Wasting Months on the Wrong One) | Matthew R. Tutoring
The SAT and ACT reward different types of thinkers — choosing the right one early can make a significant difference in results.

The SAT math section focuses on a smaller set of predictable topics — things like lines, percents, parabolas, and proportions — but asks about them in tricky or unfamiliar ways.
The ACT math section, on the other hand, pulls from a much wider range of topics, including things like matrices, ellipses, and asymptotes — but the questions themselves are often more straightforward.
Because of this, many students find that one test fits their math brain much better than the other.
Choosing the right test early can save students months of preparation and a lot of unnecessary stress.
That’s why I’m hosting a free webinar to help families decide which exam makes the most sense.

You've got two more chances to take the ACT before the 2026-2027 school year. If your student is a rising senior and hasn't gotten their dream score yet, I'd highly recommend signing up for both of these dates!
